“’It will all get done.’ When there does not seem to be enough hours in the day to accomplish everything on my own to-do list, I take a deep breath and reassure myself that ‘it’ will all get done; because it always does.”
What was the wisest piece of advice anyone has ever given you? How has it helped you in your career or life?
“Ten years from now no one will remember how many hours you worked or that you were working on a specific day. So take the time to do the things in life that matter to you and those you love. This advice has helped me put my priorities in perspective and not feel guilty when putting those ‘things’ before work.”
Is there any advice you would give to a person who is starting out in your chosen career?
“Do not be afraid or intimidated to ask questions when you do not understand something. It is not expected that you will know how to do everything right out of college. Your college education has provided you with the concepts, now it is time to put those into practice and that has its own learning curve.”
What challenge have you faced that has proved to be the most rewarding?
“Becoming a working mom was and honestly still is a challenge. However, it is a challenge that I proudly take on, because being a mom is the most rewarding experience for me and I feel so blessed to be able to experience it.”
